Cundies undies
Paolo Tramezzani
Yeah he's definitely lacking in the decision making departmentWhat a pass he gave to Werner in the first half!

In my mind it isn't a 'might' at all. I think it is guaranteed that he will become really good. Players of that age just don't have that sort of impact in the centre of midfield if they're not destined for great things. He is playing in the very hardest part of the pitch and more than holding his own.
While I agree with the overall point I also think those three, including Bergvall, haven't been played in the most difficult roles so far. DM/6 along perhaps with being a proper ball playing CB typically are more difficult for younger players. This is a piece a lot of people have missed
- At 24, there were games Winks (not picking on him) looked out of place, the weak link, been the same for a lot of players in these tough positions CM/CB/FB over the years
- Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Sarr (previously) have walked into the first team and while they may not be finished/perfect, they are holding their own, to the casual observer, you wouldn't know that is a 17/18 year old. That is a testament to your point.
Not concerned at all on my side for any of those 3.
It’s a massive step upWhile I agree with the overall point I also think those three, including Bergvall, haven't been played in the most difficult roles so far. DM/6 along perhaps with being a proper ball playing CB typically are more difficult for younger players.
Bergvall has mostly played as the most advanced of our 3 midfielders, at times the box to box role. These are roles where my impression is that we see younger players thrive in more often.
But the way they play signals a lot of good things to come. Taking responsibility, working well on the ball and defensively. Not looking out of place in any phase of play (apart from Gray defending on the break against really rapid players perhaps).
For Moore he's only had two starts in men's competitive football and barely played U21 games. Incredibly impressive to step up like that. But Bergvall too, the step up from Sweden to our level (even in the EL) is significant.
Yup. He will be inconsistent until he settles. Hope we are patient enough to understand that. It’s a massive step up
And it will have some highs and lows
Fans have to accept it

Winks issue was that injury at Burnley that he never recovered fromI think we have to remember how fantastic Winks was before the ankle problems. The Winks that came off the bench for Dembele and helped Poch close out games was a massive asset to our squad. Spurs were horrible to Winks. They didn't let him have the operation, recuperation and conditioning he needed to see the player we've seen at Sampdoria, and now Leiceister. They used and abused him. They made him play as a holding midfielder whilst players with half his talent, Sissokio and Hojbjerg, got the luxury roles in the side. Spurs wasted 5 years of Winks by making him play when he wasn't 100%.
I just hope the new Spurs look after players like Bergval better than they did Winksy. Bergval looks like a talent to me, but needs to become more tactically aware in the middle of the park. It's OK having these MOTD moments, but he needs to find consistency as he matures. I'm sure he will.
We writing a young exciting talent off, because he is not instantly Messi.
Typical.
This is why we are not allowed nice things.
He needs a loan to get that time I thinkhe needs game time and probably until we start to get consistent results, ange won't be risking youths with narrow leads
He only has limited sub appearances in the league. But he has 4 starts (one cut very short) in the EL and 1 start in the LC. He has been getting game time, but so far not stepped up/adjusted sufficiently.he needs game time and probably until we start to get consistent results, ange won't be risking youths with narrow leads
He has changed his profile a bit in the last two games being more physical and commanding IMOThought he looked good when he came on against Roma. And decent when he came in against Fulham too though it was all a bit of a mess by then.
Hoping to see more of him in the coming games. Think he's earned more game time with those two cameos, particularly given our injury situation.
Will be interesting to see if that's just a better performance or a sign of him settling in and stepping up, getting used to the tempo and environment. He has changed his profile a bit in the last two games being more physical and commanding IMO
That will help him long term and may mean more opportunities short term
