James Maddison

Seems to have become the fall guy but without his clever forward pass last night we are out.

Some won’t like to admit it but unless he plays well, we don’t play well.

Maddison has a LOT of talent but all the way through his playing days he has been inconsistent and he IS the same here.

perhaps the conventry game showed us that at this time maddison is better as an impact sub.
and that bergvall is a bit of a risk but won't be any worse than an invisible maddison

Hasn't really looked the same player since his injury, with our system it's a big problem if he's out of form. Also knows there's not any danger of being dropped either.

The injury shouldn’t have affected his willingness to pass first time

It's all connected, if it's messed up his form then it probably knocks his confidence a bit as well that likely makes him take an extra touch and move the ball slower.

He's also not as good as other players in that position like Palmer, Foden etc who are more natural passers so return to their default standard quicker. Same with Eriksen.

Was that his 1st goal at WHL ?
Love him when he plays on the half turn like that, thought he was ace today
