Maddison has a LOT of talent but all the way through his playing days he has been inconsistent and he IS the same here.

The only chance we have of signing Wirtz is if his career peters out as badly as Werner’s!!

and that bergvall is a bit of a risk but won't be any worse than an invisible maddison

It's all connected, if it's messed up his form then it probably knocks his confidence a bit as well that likely makes him take an extra touch and move the ball slower.

He's also not as good as other players in that position like Palmer, Foden etc who are more natural passers so return to their default standard quicker. Same with Eriksen.

Absolutely. I think he's been alright for quite a while, I've certainly not been of the belief that he's been poor. But this was different level. Fantastic performance.
