It’s him getting inn and saying they want out means I scored mid week and didn’t act like he was a player who wanted to go

I doubt he's being offered less at Everton. I don't think he's on a particularly high wage here. Most likely imo he's being corralled in to a deal that suits the club but might not be what he wants as a priority

And the fact we were unwilling to spend without his sale isnt really his issue.

Act like a serious club and buy the other lad first and sell Richy, or don't haha

Depends if he wants to play regularly or is happy to take the higher paycheck and ride the bench for twelve months.

I want more info.
The only thing I do know is I don't blame the player whatsoever here, and think he has done the right thing by himself. He always gives everything for us when he's on the pitch, so I have no doubt him and RDZ will 'hug' and get on with it.

He can do the latter and then semi-retire to Saudi on triple the wages, I suppose.

Given our lack of goal-scoring options at present I’m not sure he’ll be on the bench too much, though.
 
I would have liked Ndiaye and I thought he would have been a great option for the number 10 gap we have right now, but even more annoying than not getting him is that Richy part of the deal also fell apart. I thought we were finally free of him. 🤬

This is just a consequence of actually going for your true top targets.

We wanted Gakpo. We needed Liverpool to find a replacement. He decided he wanted City, so we moved for Ndiaye. Gakpo stays. Our move gets fudged. We should have course have gone straight for Ndiaye. But it would have meant not shooting for the top target and also not accounting for what Richy wanted to do.

I don’t blame him whatsoever although I do think we need to find him a move, he just does not look right in a De Zerbi system. He’s a non entity and the ball doesn’t stick. So I agree with him doing right by himself but we can’t be relying upon him at all this season I would think.

Comment on Reddit is that Richarlison wanted his ‘loyalty payment’ due for 26/7. Spurs refused to pay it and so did Everton. Suggested that the selling club usually pays it (I have no idea) so the deal went south over about £2 million
