I aint no Sheikh-but lets talk weather

Just back from 2 weeks of 35 degrees weather (and an earthquake) to this pile of nonsense! Time for the citaloprams me thinks...

Hired a villa in a lovely place called Dalyan (Turkey). Lovely view, mountain in front of the pool. Actually very good for those with kids as we looked for something toddler safe.

Earthquake happened whilst in a restaurant, sat there shaking for 15 secs before realising what it was! Scary...

Got stuck in the floods in Hebden Bridge last night, was a bit mad! (wasn't sure my car would still be there in the morning!), we went up from Machester yesterday, where we'd been to see Pearl Jam, to watch Jesca Hoop and the gig got interupted twice to warn that the river was bursting and roads closing (sirens going off outside). We had to sleep the night in a couple we met at the gig's place because we were planning on driving back to Dorset last night. Really friendly folk from our brief experience, but felt a bit apocalyptic in the locals reactions (whilst I had a feeling of excitement, that I had to temper being in the presence of locals).

24 Hours of very heavy rain, felt really sorry for alot of the business owners.

Ridiculous amount of rain for about an hour today, local high street was flooded within 10 minutes.

Its too fudgein humid. tube is disgusting

Although I got a ladies number today on tube cos i was cracking up at her cos she was reading 50 shades of grey. Told her why read th ebook when she has the real 'christian grey' in front of her. mmmmmmm

You can't please some people can you? Yeah it's hot and uncomfortable at night, but I'd take this over constant rain for 2 months.

Agree with that, but your stuck indoors when it rains, at least you can sit in the garden and enjoy a few beers in the sun during the evenings and weekends.

Love summer beings when it's humid.

Looking more favourable to a humid pattern becoming fairly dominant into next week, with growing potential for some explosive thunderstorms to come about as sticky, very unstable air is pumped up from Iberia. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's usually very spectacular.

Still being influenced by an upper trough, albeit not as elongated as what was over us in May; susceptible to warming-out fairly quickly should the azores play ball and allow pressure to build. Some signs there's a signal for that over the next 14days, but it's a weak signal and not enough support (yet) for it to have confidence.

I'm off to the Greek Islands for a bit so would be nice to return to a balmy bit of sunshine 8)

I'm here in Canada. It's a big, big country and it isn't 32 everywhere.

But it is baking and shaking, baby, here in Toronto. Temps topping 30 degrees over this gorgeous Canada Day long weekend. More of the same over the next two weeks. C'mon over and soak up the sun. A change will do you good.
