David Pleat thinks he is some thing very special, and i tend to agree with him.
Pleat said something like Kane is the best shooter of the ball in the league. Thought it was too much. Kane is still young and needs to learn so many things before getting compared with the established strikers in the league.
Pleat knows what he is talking about.
i dont want him getting a call up just yet, im happy with him in the 21's for now
England's future strikeforce = Kane + Sterling
One of the very best performances I've ever witnessed from a Tottenham striker yesterday. Two superb goals, two assists, constantly tormenting the best defence in the country. The complete striker's performance. And what's best is that he's started all of our Christmas games and played virtually 90 minutes in every match.
I can put my hand up and say I have never ever been as wrong about a player as I have been about Kane. Even as recently as the start of this season I didn't think he was good enough to play in the Premier League. The odd good finish proves nothing, but Kane is regularly taking his chances. I've always said his movement and reading of the game is well above peers of his age, what's now great to see is that the technical side of his game is far far above what I thought it was. Work rate and intelligence only get you so far, but it seems that every game now Kane is getting MOTM awards, creating chances for team mates, holding off big defenders as he runs with the ball which he rarely gives away. You can't put it down to a fluke any more and he's rightfully getting the praise he deserves.
MOTD last night compared him to Sheringham, Shearer, Klinsmann and Henry. Not bad going son, not bad going. It's easy to get carried away with a bit of good form, but at the moment you could say he's arguably our best striker since Berbatov left seven years ago. I have my doubts about how well he'll be able to carry on into the season - an England call-up will inevitably kill him, but I'm really enjoying things as they stand.
A good post, agree with most of it.
The big question is it form or talent. I want to wait to see how he responds to a few bad performances and a goalless streak before deciding if he is a Kevin Campbell or a Klinsmann. Let's not forget that only a few months ago that Townsend was the future of the club and country.

He does drive the ball low and hard, which is quite difficult considering the characters of the modern ball (if you haven't tried it you must, no longer leather, very large "sweet spot" and very light).

Good spot. Was amazing how often Clive would turn his defender with a swivel and almost in the same movement hit a beauty not unlike Kane's second. You can really see the work of Clive Allen in the striking of our academy players - he really did strike a football beautifully as a player.
One of the pundits reviewing him, called out one thing that if true, will stand him very well.
He claimed if you l00k at Kane before he hits every shot, he sets his balance, which is what allows him to hit so well (hence the comments by friedel/etc.). Looking back, I really can't think of Kane hitting row Z or getting under the ball, so lends some credence to the theory.
The other thing to note is that since he has played for Spurs - he is scoring a goal every 90mins and he has scored right footed screamers, left footed thunderbolts, individual goals, headers, tap ins, free kicks, goals off crosses etc - such is the variety of goals, I doubt that any drought will ever last for any considerable length of time.
