Gareth Bale

Re: Gareth Bale

I agree. I don't see what difference the club making a statement would do other than to inflame the story for another few days.

Exactly, similar statements have been made about players before and it hasn't stopped them being sold.

New twist in Gareth Bale transfer saga as Real Madrid reserve No.11 shirt for Spurs star

After taking it in turns to butter up the Welshman, the Spanish giants are now leaving a space for him in their squad

Real Madrid have stepped up their campaign to land £85million-rated Gareth Bale - by reserving their no.11 shirt for him.

In tactics similar to those that saw them land another Tottenham star, Luka Modric, last summer, the Spanish giants are already describing Bale as ‘The Eleventh Galactico’.

Real's No.11 shirt is free, as it was worn last season by ex-Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho, who recently completed a transfer to Monaco.

Newspaper Marca - well known as a Real Madrid mouthpiece - has claimed that “the soap opera for Bale has only just begun” and that the Bernabeu club is “prepared to wait for him as long as it takes, even to the end of the transfer window”.

Tottenham remain confident that Bale will sign a bumper new deal to stay at the club at least for another year.

But Real have been chiselling away since April in their bid to unsettle the north Londoners’ four-time Player of the Year.

lol

exactly, just unplug the fax machine, job done

On the contrary, leave the fax machine plugged in and take their calls - and just say no in English, Spanish, Italian (thanks to Baldini), Portuguese (AVB) and in every fudging language it takes to get it through their thick sculls that Bale is not leaving Spurs this summer

Re: Gareth Bale

Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez has jetted to London as the Spanish giants continue their pursuit of Spurs' Gareth Bale.

Although Perez insists the trip is purely to do with his own personal business interests, he is trying to set up talks with Tottenham.

Real are determined to land the Welsh flier and are ready to pay Spurs up to £80million for him.

Yet not only do the White Hart Lane club insist Bale is not for sale, they want him to sign a new contract, and hope this week's appointment of new technical director Franco Baldini will help attract other big names to play alongside the 23-year-old.

Real want to have Bale, Malaga midfielder Isco - who they are in a battle with Emirates Marketing Project to sign - and Carlo Ancelotti, Jose Mourinho's successor as coach, all in place by July 3.

Ah yes...of course...because Levy will change his stance once he knows Perez used his own personal frequent flier miles and took the tube from Heathrow to try and convince him to sell...christ...it's not even funny anymore...unless he snuck the bald french kitten in his luggage and thus it becomes ZZ Perez live at Seven Sisters tube...
