Fabio Paratici - Also Sporting Director

If Fabio is on the move would assume it's to do with the reported arrival of Carlos Moersen from City that was on the rumour mill a couple of weeks ago.
And just because Fabio maybe on the move doesn't mean there has been an major upheaval behind the scenes , all looked very friendly yesterday with Vinai, new challenge is offered to Fabio and maybe he likes the idea.
Talksport did a bit on Fabio leaving and according to Simon Jordan (FAILED football club owner) all sorts of things are going on behind the scenes in his personal opinion.

Not sure why you had to put FAILED football club owner in. The 2008 financial crash hurt a lot of people including many owners of football clubs.
Did he make all the right deciscions. No. But he knows a lot more about running a football club than you and i ever will.
Dislike him as a person. That's fine. But i personally like to hear his insight.

Anyone in the media is going to promote 'all kinds of things going on' versus 'nothing to see here' ... otherwise you're just biting the hand that feeds you.

Very true, only saw & heard the clip by Jordan as someone posted a clip on another forum.
Think I have tuned into Talksport about twice this year usually on a car journey and have to it turn off because of the drivel they talk and put music on instead.

100%. TalkSport is such drivel. Jordan does have something worth listening to every so often. Used to like H and J years ago but, like you, haven't tuned in for years.

wow, good recruitment by vinai if we do land moersen.
i like vinai and his new broom. maybe lange might even go given too many of recruits under his watch have proven lacklustre

It was doing the rumour mill a couple of weeks ago...

Athletic: Tottenham to appoint City exec Rafi Moersen as head of football operations

and as Fabrizio Romano has endorsed the Paratici back to Italy story have to assume that it is more than a rumour regarding Fabio.

The problem is Paratici is the one guy amongst them with the credentials and ability to be able to fix the mess. The rest are all novices and small fry by comparison
I'm not entirely sure he is the man to fix it.

I think we need a good long term strategy including some clear plans on an identity on the pitch over time. Allowing us to recruit players and managers with that in mind. An end to the flip flopping.

He seems like a really good operator in the transfer market. In terms of talent identification it's always difficult to know who does what behind the scenes, but we've signed some really good players with him at the club so it doesn't seem to be a big problem.

If there is an overall plan in place I'm not quite seeing it. We did for a while seemingly value physical attributes really highly. Then moved more towards technical ability mostly combined with physical ability. But a lot of our business seems to be focused on what the current manager wants, perhaps more of a plan with the younger players, but Nuno to Conte to Ange to Frank (we don't know his involvement on the Frank decision of course) I don't see anything resembling a move towards a good coherent long term strategy. More hoping that the next manager will be "the one".

Its an interesting point. We dont know how much he was involved in picking managers, but that has been shocking for a while now.

With signings, there's a fine line i guess between supporting a manager and making club signings. Paratici has made very few poor signings (Gil and Solomon perhaps). But he's signed players who are very tailored to one coach - Emerson for Nuno, Johnson and maybe Solanke for Ange. I guess if we'd signed more generic equivalents though the coach will have kicked off. Maybe the likes of Udogie, Sarr and Kulu have keep enough of a blend though?

Look in the Frank thread, some are talking about replacements already.

He’s only been here 5 minutes.
He's been here half a season. Vast majority of managers are at PL clubs for less than half an hour then?

Talking about replacements, wanting him gone (as some do, I'm not there), having questions about his suitability for our club (that's more where I'm at) is not the same as saying that all our issues are down to him.

In today's video with Dragusin, he said it was easy to integrate into Spurs because he'd already played with Romero/ Bentancur/ Deki at Juventus, and he also spoke Italian with Udogie and Vicario... which tells us a lot about Paratici's little black book. It only contains Italian contacts.
