Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

rumours of his discontent have been rumbling for a while now, but he doesnt come out and deny anything. :-k

he played like he was tinkled off and didn't give a brick against chelsea.. why should he start with that kind of pathetic attitude?

it wouldn't be the first time his attitudes been in question either.

Perhaps we'll be getting the same kind of I told you so's from the City fans that the Arsenal fans were sending their way....

Much has been said about Ade but I thought he was a fantastic player for us last season, who only occasionally displayed the sulky attitude, imo he was a very hard worker for the majority of time.

Surely he must have realised he'd have to play himself in to contention, especially as he missed pre season due to negotiations stretching out.

On Saturday he did have some good touches and movement but he didn't really look like a man coming off the bench to truly change the game and that's worrying. One would hope he'll see Thursday as a chance to improve his chances of starting and working his way back in to the team.

I haven't seen any proof there is a problem but it would seem reading between the lines perhaps there is some truth. AVB seems to have a knack of winding up some players (at least his chelsea days would suggest that) and ade reknowned for having a bad attidue. he has barely featured this season (had a bit of mystery injury).

however, i hope they can sort it out because even a half interested ade can score fifteen goals a season and we need that desperately.

problem with Lloris and Ade is that it was AVB who signed them

or did he :-k

You'd hope so right. But then again Levy probably started rubbing his hands together in excitement at the value of the fees and signed them anyway.

A very small part of me would not be surprised if the following happened.

Lloris to AC Milan £15m
Adebayor to Russia £15m

Daniel+Levy

seriously?

If AVB did not sign him, he would not be the manager.

cant believe that some people are into these conspiracy theories....

all of santini, Jol and redknapp have all said that they were given players that they didnt want or ask for specifically

And they got some they asked for. Such is the life of a football manager. This endless game of blame, depending who people like/dislike is quite tedious and mostly speculation anyway.

thats fair enough, but it isnt a case that if you were bought then you the managers prefered choice etc

That was pretty much what I tried to say. I think.

Very few players are bought as the choice of one single person, but if a player is seen as a good investment (low fee, higly talented etc.) he will be pursued even if the manager hasn't asked for him. He will most likely outlast the manager anyway and is worth more to the club.
