Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

I have no problem if he goes to QPR and has his wage subsidised, but W.Ham is another thing.

Thing is mate, we could've made it very clear beforehand that we would not do a deal with them. We didn't. It's game-playing. I just wish he'd stop. He never had any intention of giving in to the player, and he certainly wasn't going to do business with West Ham! I don't understand why we postured TBH...

IF it was 'motivated happy Ade' then absolutely 100% correct. My fear is that unhappy unmotivated Ade will simply not be mobile or hungry enough. Lamela (or Chadli) would certainly be mobile and hungry at least. I understand your concern but it is as much about whether these players will work for the team or not.

So true - the happy motivated Ade. I think Poch was willing to work with him and get him there. But with the fans booing it really undermines things. How can you be 'happy motivted' when your own supporters are putting you down, especially when you not match sharp? You need encouragement, boos must seriously damage any fragile belief you might have.

Still I'm happy he stayed. Hope he can catch a break away from home, so if we need him later in the season 'fans' are on his side at whl, or at least not giving him stick.

I think deep down every spurs fan and his dog wanted the club and Ade to go their seperate ways!

Cant really blame Levy for not dealing with West Ham! maybe if it was a permanent deal then fair enough....I could have lived with the spammers having to ENDURE Ade but not for a loan with us paying half his wages....no way!

Not going to be easy for Poch to get a tune out of him even more now! Poch is going to have to earn his corn and wait a little longer for us to clear the space he needs to start planning for the future!

I dont get it. Why is it okay to deal with QPR but not little West Ham.

You really have to ask that?

No love lost between the two clubs recently!

Why should we give them mark 1 ade and pay for it? saving 50k a week is not worth it compared to being to look like complete muppets if he fires them up the league beyond us!

Oh come the fudge on there isn't a chance of them finishing above us especially with that guy anywhere near the squad.
Fat Sam and Ade would be a disaster. Look at the way he handled Ravel Morrison.

I dont see how this is any different than the Robbie Keane to West Ham loan.

I think its not leaving ourselves with only 2 strikers as much as any other reason that this didn't happen, there's just not enough time to find an adequate replacement.

Well its all hypothetical! It has not happened!

Dont really know how to feel about it.......bit sad that Ade remains but sensibly we need to sort this in the summer and line up a replacement... and see how Solly is doing?

Dont share your anger for Levy though...just trying to make sense of why Levy said 'no deal'

Olympic Stadium. It got very very dirty, far dirtier than we will ever fully know...the echo are still out there and they continue to impact us. Hopefully those echo are fading into the wind, but make no mistake, it was very ugly. Which is why I think it's poor to have even floated it in that direction just for the chance to 'fudge' them...

Adequate replacement ????

I would rather have Shane long, I really do HATE Ade , and i wish him nothing but the worst.

Would have loved to flogged him to West Ham .

Money grabbing lazy clam , that don't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Tottenham

Trust me, and some know I said this a couple of months back, Levy was not interested in doing anything which might have helped Ade out. His agent is Darren Dein. But this was a perfect situation for DL to stick it to a few people at once and not look out of order with us, as we could still (potentially) need him during the run-in...

Do you think this petty crap is more important than getting rid of a player the coach doesnt want.

Looks likely to me that Carrol's injury might be worse the way they pushed for Ade and recalled Carlton Cole.

Fingers crossed a championship side comes in and gets him on loan.

With Portugal and Russian windows still open, there is still a chance one of these leagues will take him.. Capoue and Kaboul even.

I think Pochettino is pretty happy to keep Adebayor. He seems to speak well of him and Ade hasn't been banished to train with the reserves or anything. I think the coach will be more than happy to upgrade in the Summer, but would rather have the player for the squad than nobody.
