Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

Based on current form, slim.

and based on current form of the team overall and our attitude / approach to games.........

dont forget those...not like they are laying things on a plate for him...or that the team is playing amazingly with ade being the one lone dark spot in an island on to himself doing nothing

None of that matters to some of these guys though, because everybody else is not... Ade. So they can and do get much more leyway... :(

Exactly AS...

I mean it's not like he's missing sitters galore or anything. I gave soldado a pass for not scoring under AVB because he simply wasn't being given any decent service. I feel the same regarding Ade....and he's still playing better than soldado did under AVB .

I would question the Soldado under AVB bit,but for the shake of everyone's sanity I won't [emoji4], but the rest is spot on. We haven't been creating enough chances for a couple if seasons now. Bales goals masked this to an extent but it's not as if the forwards then were banging them in or missing loads. The chances just aren't there.
Four managers in as many seasons can't be helping but you do wonder why.

Ade has missed a couple of sitters - one against Arsenal and one in a recent home game, can't remember who off the top of my head

yeh 2 in 7 games (and the Arsenal one he sort of created the chance himself anyway).

The fact is he's not been given proper service (much like Soldado under AVB). Soldado also did indeed miss chances under AVB BUT generally speaking we created hardly nothing for him (much like Ade now).

The only time we've created meaningful chances on a consistent basis in recent history (well since Arry) was under Sherwood.

Why can we create chances for Kane or Chadli and not Adebayor? Is our second string better at this in regards to Kane? Is Chadlis movement better?

We all know Adebayor movement as a striker is hilariously bad, we've blasted him for it before, usually just sort of standing still, but we have players in Lamela and Eriksen who can create, I just want Ade to be central and to get on the end of things. Is it so much to ask?

Kane we don't know as it's Europa and Chadli? because he's coming from a wide position (much like Eriksen last season) so it's not the same at all.

People keep saying this..."with players like Eriksen and Lamela creating"....but neither have been particularly consistent this season so far. It's not about Ade's movement imo..it's more to do with the system and in time i think the system will come good.

Soldado's poor start to last season was also to do with AVB's system BUT i had no belief that the system would ever come good. This time i do think it will come good in time.

If you want the striker to stay central for long periods of the game then you're going to be very disapointed in Poch's reign here.

This is such a fundamental point that I just don't understand why people don't get, and blame Ade for it??

Having watched five Southampton games at the start of the season when studying Schneiderlins game a bit more to see how effective he'd be in our line up, I noticed how central Lambert was, he went out wide occasionally but he spent the majority of his game central, coming deep to link up and getting on the end of things.

In fact our way of playing looks nothing like that of Southamptons at all maybe other than pressing, then again most teams do this, though like you said, it's early days.

So you think that Ade is ignoring poch's orders then? Do you think that poch is that weak that he won't replace Ade if he is being ignored?

Is poch scared of other plates as well?

Even the second string are struggling to create chances mumorn, and against much worse teams. We are still a long way away from being we want to be but there is positive signs.
I don't think Ade helps himself at times, stands in the middle looking of the pace or running out after balls he shouldn't go for. Makes it difficult for the players behind and an easy target for abuse.

Well it's just as much of a stretch to suggest he's instructing Ade to stay out wide for the majority of the games and not get himself into goalscoring positions.
