Yeah, not going to go into 'meltdown' or whatever over it because I'm sure most of us on here are almost immune to this stuff by now.Agreed. Eze would have been a statement of intent. Supposedly we have alternative options. There is no way the alternative will be as good a deal as Eze for 55-60m. It’s a great deal. And fantastic for Arsenal.
But what this window has shown if you ever were in doubt is that ENIC will never change in the way they operate. No fantastic new stadium, Champions League football, lighter wage bill with Son and Kane gone will change anything. We don't necessarily need new owners with a bottomless amount of cash to look to spend, but a different more ambitious mindset for approaching transfers would be welcome and that doesn't mean am demanding to 'Just pay the F'ing money' for players x/y and z....
