Or just assert our place in the food chain and properly sign him. He'll be a top player for the next decade, whereas Eze has only 3 years left in him.

His passing game probably also suits us more for the 10 than Eze's instinct to dribble

The good old Spurs way of thinking. There always a better 'investment' such as a Leicester player with 2 goals and 3 assists in the PL (cheaper and younger) than a genuine top quality player coming into his peak. Funny how not a single person mentioned this guy last season, but now he's the great hope....

It would show zero planning by the recruitment, both these players have had a release clause if we really wanted them and certainly the Leicester lad could have been here for pre season
 
No way the goons are coming for him just because of Havertz injury, thats coincidental. It's been lined up for ages. They were probably told by Palace that they wanted a replacement in first and that they wanted him to play tomorrow night's game. So they just sat back and waited until the right time.

Oh and there is no way we are offering up Richie when he looks the best he has for 2 years. Total bollox.

Agreed. Eze would have been a statement of intent. Supposedly we have alternative options. There is no way the alternative will be as good a deal as Eze for 55-60m. It’s a great deal. And fantastic for Arsenal.

Absolutely. Regardless of what has gone on behind the scenes the optics of this window are horrific- almost worse than the summer we signed nobody due to the very humiliating car crash following on from humiliating car crash. If they bring in some 21 year old from Monaco or such that has been mentioned after MGW and Eze with our 2 senior AM options out long term then its absolute amateur hour both from a team/squad management and PR/optics perspective.

I think this too. I think there are some serious amateur hour people seemingly still behind the scenes at spurs that are allowing themselves to be absolutely publically manipulated and used by other clubs, agents and the like without realising. MGW gets a new deal while spurs get a public slap in the face. Savinho ....doesnt even seem like he's available. Now we basically negotiate the Eze deal for Arsenal....
