Eberechi Eze

I'd say it is quite encouraging.
Palace bought players like Lacroix and Sarr and Mateta and Wharton and blah blah all their team mates and look really good, so it is possible to build a really good team without breaking the bank.

I watched it with my annoying Liverpool-supporting-brother, who is 54 yet still donned a replica shirt and wore a Liverpool scarf in 28 degree weather, and who was dancing and bragging after Ekitike scored and saying how wonderful Wirtz is.

Then around 70 minutes I said, wait a minute, you don't have any forwards to bring on at all, you really do need Isak. They brought on Elliott and basically tried to shore things up and failed and then lost on penalties.

This is all good news, it shows these clubs are not infallible. Don't believe their hype.
They've lost two final third forwards this summer and so far only replaced one of them. So yeah I guess when you look at it like that, they do need a another striker.

They've happily jettisoned Diaz and Nunez (and of course Jota killed himself via Lamborghini) so yeah, they need more strikers.

It just shows how much Salah has carried them, but perhaps this is the year where Salah's age catches up with him.

I reckon they'll get Isak and start him, then when he is tired at 70 they bring on Ekitike to play against tired defences.

I actually forgot about Dias leaving as well (I was thinking (Jota and Nunez) so yeah 3 forwards difference to last season. Salah's brilliance does indeed elevate them. They kind of need to get Isak because like you age is going to get to him at some point (his game has already changed once) and they need that player before Salah completely declines.

I’ll be on me knees in front of Levy if we sign Eze, Savinho, kudus,Palinha, Tel, Danso this window .. and turn around if we get another CB and LB
