Both Man U and Chelsea have young players in the position Eze would play so maybe it's down to need not desire that they're not in for him.

I agree. But with Sir Les there as D of F you'd think we are very much in the loop.

It's a pain though if Jose is the one that doesn't fancy him. (Obviously it could be that a player in that position is not a priority?)

You could see it with Maddison and we missed a trick there
Really would like Eze in our squad

If Jose had to think about balancing and not overstocking in one area (probably very likely with Levy overseeing stuff) he'd have to think about moving someone on ie 1 in 1 out in a non priority area.

Realistically that would be Moura or Lamela? The problem is I think Jose really really likes those two players, both work like dogs, listen to instruction and of course Lamela bites like a dog as well.

The only other two (and would be classed as bigger calls) is Dele or Ndombele.

Yeah true
But Lamela hasn’t hit the heights we hoped and keeping an attacker for defensive prowess is just wrong IMO
Eze for me would be better than both of eh can step up

Moura would have ripped the Championship to absolute shreds imo. He's taking steps, looks settled, this would be the worst time to move him on.

If Eze replaced Lamela I think it would cost us quite a bit overall. Its just not a priority position right now. We have limited funds and still several gaps in our squad that are more important to fill.

If we somehow have money to spend after fixing more pressing issues we might make a move. Until then I'd be very surprised to see us make a move.

eze would be a great like for like though for Lamela (we would get the money back in Lamelas fee)

eze is very different to Lamela in that he is two footed and looks up when he gets the ball so passes quickly. He isn’t a player though who will take a man out in the attacking third though

I do agree it’s not a priority in theory but to me these are players that make the difference in the counter attacking style

From what I've seen it would take £15-20m to get Eze, if you think we can get him for less or can get that for Lamela now then fair enough.
 
Why was this guy firstly in the millwall academy and then qpr took him from them on a free.

Where were our scouts on those two occasions?

Again a missed opportunity.

There are lots of things happening in youth football that make getting the right kid difficult, families and "friends" dont always do the right thing by the kids. A young boy at my grandsons club has been offered a deal with a team in the north west which included relocating his family and employment for his father.

This is going to be one of them transfers that people get themselves worked up over even though the club have shown no interest and then moan when the window shuts because we didn’t “try hard enough” to buy him.
