Dominic Solanke

was excellent against Emirates Marketing Project.
solid running and i am starting to think he holds the ball up better than kane.
very unselfish player and worth more than we paid for him
He does hold the ball better than Kane
It wasn’t Kanes strength IMO
He is ok at it big Solanke is up there with Kanoute I think for that kind of hold up

Its been said before i know but his workrate is as good as any CF and all he needs now is a few more goals and he will/should be up there with the best.

Interesting, I agree with you but

- 4 Goals and 2 assists in his first 10 PL games for us
- 2 Goals in 4 games in Europe for us

It hasn't been fantastic goals wise, but it's also a lot better than perception.

But it’s exactly what we missed up front last year
A striker who occupies the opposition
He is a huge part of why we’re top scorers

Occupies defenders, holds the ball up, links well with others, presses like a machine, wins physical duels.

If he can find a few more goals and keep the other stuff up there aren't many strikers around in the world I'd expect to be better for us.

Goals will come IMO
but everything else he is doing is working so well
His passing has impressed me because if you was to go and trawl back through the sands of time in here and see my comments about him around 7/8 years ago I thought he was technically weak

I know he plays so well for us and offers a lot more than scoring goals. But do you think he will start feeling a way if his scoring tallies is not as high as he would like??

Hopefully his illness won’t keep him out for several weeks, like Mikey Moore’s…

Speaking on our Review Show, Ange told us: “Dom trained yesterday, but the illness hit him overnight, so we’ll have to see how he recovers. He came to the ground and wanted to try (to make himself available), but we could tell as soon as we saw him that he wasn’t in a fit state to play, so we sent him home.

Really missed him today and can't afford to be without him for too long, especially if Ange is going to be stubborn and stick with Son up front.

Spoken like a multitude of Sunday morning district league managers :)
