He's already well on his way there imo. Give him time and give the manager more options so he doesn't have to play quite as much and all the ingredients will be there imo.

No doubt. He needs to feel pomp and confidence. And to hone a killer instinct in and around the box.

Well that's very annoying Steve.
I waited decades for Cheatski to get rid of their annoyingly good fullbacks, finally they drifted away and suddenly they found Chilwell and Reece James down the back of the money sofa, but as luck would have it, they both got bad injury after bad injury, but your table has Malo Gusto and Ian Maatsen in it, FFS.

PS, I reckon Malo Gusto basically translates as Bad Taste in a Latin language?

Do you think he'll be fit for the start of the season?
hasn't featured in any pre season friendlies yet, so looks like a bit longer. how serious is his injury? i mean the video above shows him exercising at a very slow and cautious pace

In the extended version of that clip above he says he’s now back in full training with the rest of the group. Still needs to get match fit though

Looks sharper and ggod pace to start the movementfor the goal. Why doesn't use him in attack like that. It's his super power

I feel he has had the rawness that was impressive in the first 10 games of last season coached out of him in this system. He doesn’t look as dangerous at the moment.

Coming inside as an auxiliary #10 with the play building up behind him doesn't really seem the best role for him.
He has more space to run with the ball which is what allows him to open up space when he's previously played WB or more as an orthodox LB, although I didn't watch this match so not sure whether Italy played 3 at the back or not. Just going off the highlights he was operating much wider than what we typically see.
