Dejan Kulusevski

I guess rotation and number of games will always negate that question a little. I'll run with it though.

My CL final line-up in May would be

Vic
Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie
Palhinha, Sarr
Kudus, Xavi, Kulu
Muani

Of course, Johnson will get the winner ably assisted by Madds from the bench.

Wouldn’t be mine. If we are in the CL at end January and don’t push to sign a left winger then we have more issues than to have been sold just by Levy leaving. But I do get your point, based on how our squad stands now.

I agree with your team otherwise and would have fluid movement with the front three or at least Kulusevski and Xavi switching about.

I just can't help feeling that life would be so much better for Frank and us fans if we could get Dejan back into the fold. For me, it just changes so much tactically, not to mention his strong personality on the pitch.

I'm also thinking that, unlike previous seasons, we can bring him back at a really sensible pace. Can't say that has been the case over the years with these types of players at Spurs.

Can't wait to see Kulu back. He epitomises this new Spurs.

To be honest, i think Beckham was the most overrated player who ever lived. Never fit to lace Anderton's boots

You made the point that Kulu could not play on the left because he is not capable of skinning his full back so I said he could whip the ball in from the left without having to beat his man just as Beckham did on the right. I get it, you obviously do not like the player but I think it is foolhardy to suggest he was not talented.

Total Club
Appearances: 724
Goals: 127
Assists 225

Including

Man United

Appearances: 394
Goals: 85
Assists: 109

Real Madrid
Appearances: 155
Goals: 20
Assists: 51

Typically, you have allowed your dislike of Beckham to get in the way of a discussion about playing Kulu on the left.

Two teams who dominated their leagues in those periods. He wasnt back, maybe David Bentley with a better mentality. But if they'd had a second Giggs, that would have taken that flank to a whole another level. Neville got roped in to doing all his running for him, which wasn't an effective deployment of resources.

The Kulu in the left thing just sounds like some of the worst case of square pegging. And just because LW is our weakest position at the moment. Its another - what about Kane as an AM call. But nothing in Kulu's past or skillset suggests he's at all suited to playing as an orthodox winger.

All our wide player have preferred sides - Odobert, Tel, Simons and Richy are left. Kudus, Kulu, Johnson and Muani are right. All can play on the other side, but all lose a bit of their ability by doing so. Its always a judgement, but I'd always go Simons left, Kulu 10 and Kudus right, if that's the 3 we are trying to get in

You do realise that kulu played on the left for both Juve and Parma and that he is one of the most two footed players around?
As a youngster, seizing any moments he could. All im saying is he does have an obvious preference, and we'll see a slightly diminished version of him if we square peg him. Just the same as Spence at LB or Odobert at RW

Yes as a youngster in which he won serie a young player of the year award.

I've no idea how good he'd be on the left. Would he be better than xavi or odobert there?

I think it might be worth a try at least but it's up to the coach.

Again,,, you do realise Spence was called up for the England squad as a LB?
