Daniel Levy - Chairman

Lloris doesn't talk favourably about having big brother everywhere at the club. He talks about the players looking at which tables at the Lodge that had the microphones on and were best places for the cameras. Guess what? The players went and sat at other tables.

He also talked about the changing room at the training ground being where there were no cameras. It was strongly implied that was where a lot of the important conversations moved to.

I personally found the Amazon series interesting, but it wasn't about the things I wanted to see. It was almost produced for the non-football fans, not the real football fans if that makes sense. That was probably because it was non-football people driving it. I doubt they could even tell the interesting stuff that would have got most of the real fans paying attention.

It all seemed staged and pretty boring. The one bit that was good was when Sky were reporting something about Mourinho and he just says "fudge off" and turns it off.

What I’d love to see most in one of these documentaries is real tactical insight from someone like Mourinho. We all have ideas about how these coaches operate and what they tell their teams. I’d love to know what I don’t know.

Like most fans, I think I’ve a decent knowledge of the game but when you hear top level players talk about how a coach has shown them things they’ve never thought about, you start to wonder how much you really know. I’d love to have seen Mourinho on the training ground, his team talks, his team meetings from a tactical perspective.

Of course, the club would never allow that and a good chunk of the target market wouldn’t be interested in it.

Levy has tried everything from superstar coaches to coaches who are great with youths, from defend only cosches to attack only coaches. Will he understand it takes more money to win things or does he not care?

The coaches wouldn’t want to share that though (from what little I’ve heard form them)
The way they work is their way and they wouldn’t want it shared or critiqued
It’s why last year when O’Neill and Frank did sky Monday night it was great big who else has done that? potter i think but no big name manager and none with egos that’s for sure
Would be great to see

I've always thought that Jose is probably a narcissist. A lot of talented people are. Narcissism fits very well with the psychology of a football manager. If you're willing to be subservient to the manager then you'll do well. If not, they will gaslight the brick out of you and you either submit to them or you separate.

KDB did the latter. There was no way he was going to let Jose gaslight him in that famous meeting. He just traded hard facts with Jose and then called his agent. He had the intelligence and guts to go toe-to-toe at a very young age. Most of these kids who play football haven't got either of those traits. Dele unfortunately didn't. He should just have knocked Jose spark out.

There were things that the Amazon doc didn't show the world, as THFC didn't let them. However, there were other bits that they did show that told its own story. Do you remember Hugo being injured and Kane giving the half time rah, rah speech? The body language of the players told it's own story. The awkwardness of the players trying to pretend that Harry had anything important to say was actually embarrassing. Harry was an empty shell, had a complete lack of intelligence and charisma, and never should have worn an armband in his life. I was cringing when I watched the players reaction, seeing our least qualified leader, but most amazing player talk absolute rubbish.
