Should I yet again point out that various journalists have reported on this for weeks before we announce it? They do know a thing or two, you know.
 
Excellent signing! Best defender in serie A last season is some accolade. Could make a huge difference to us!

Now just need to tie up the various other signings which we need by Aug 31st!
 
An exciting signing. I'm sure he'll be a fan favorite. Just need to let him bed in and give him an experienced partner. 23 is nothing in the Centre Back world.

I think he appreciates some freedom to drive forward. Might work well in a back 3, driving out of defense to either win the ball or attack.

By all accounts, he's an exciting player.

Agreed, in terms of the improvement which any signing could make to our team, this is probably the best signing we coul dmake

Though you have to cut him some slack, new country, new league. Lots to learn and adapt to. Don't expect perfect instantly.

Still, can not wait to see him play! Top-quality player...once settled.
 
Might be possible that, if we can sign another quality CB, circumstances with our fullbacks will improve. Better defending and organization in the middle of defence can make life easier for those out wide.
