We won't buy a better replacement. Guehi is great, but he's not quite at Romero's level.
If he's not at Romero's level he's pretty far from great.

Hope we manage to sign him to a longer contract. If not we probably have to listen to any good offer come the summer.
The same Romero who seemingly played with an injury/niggle earlier this season? The same Romero who was in the starting lineup against Chelsea even though he probably wasn't fully fit? The same Romero who always leaves everything in every duel on the pitch?Won't be fit until the International Break
Quelle Surprise !!
Yep the same one whose number one priority is Argentina and not the club that pays his massive wages week in week outThe same Romero who seemingly played with an injury/niggle earlier this season? Hope he's also ready to play again soon.
My thoughts as well, i know he is not the flavour of the month with some fans but we are a FAR better team with him in it. IMO.

Agree. The issue is getting him playing more regularly and having him really motivated. I’m not sure he is. I think we may see him agitating for a move soon, unfortunately.
We paid £43m for him so anyone buying him would need to dig deeperAnyone in his situation probably would tbf. His likely agitation to move is the most direct of consequences of us missing out on CL last season and not pushing on this...oh well, no doubt there'll be a healthy profit to re-invest
Although he is our best passer from defence, I would take the money from Real or whoever is willing to pay big bucks for him. We can do better and he is very injury prone and reckless.Hope we manage to sign him to a longer contract. If not we probably have to listen to any good offer come the summer.

Madrid who haven’t spent big on signing anyone over 21 since hazardDon't think Madrid would have a problem paying ..
The real question is who is our ball playing CB replacement?
Depends how many out of contract players they're sniffing around...Trent is one. Use your pull to get enough of them, then you might have a few bob to pay a fee. Like us,they have a new stadium to milk.Madrid who haven’t spent big on signing anyone over 21 since hazard

Same for me. Take £60m from Real and move on.Although he is our best passer from defence, I would take the money from Real or whoever is willing to pay big bucks for him. We can do better and he is very injury prone and reckless.
Obviously better than what we currently have but still think we can upgrade.
Real will offer us £15m and two crap academy players. They dont pay big fees for senior players nowSame for me. Take £60m from Real and move on.
