Hate to say it, but there really was.:/
He was doing an impression of Tuchel saying yes to the instruction to "go and ruin the team".
The joke is a normal joke that a football fan makes - agent Poch etc and completely tongue in cheek. Nothing wrong with that.
The salute is pretty stupid. But clearly part of the joke - and not surprising for a man of his age; different times (I recently rewatched all of Only Fools..... and it's pretty awful in places, especially in the 1980s. Harry has never really left 1993).
It's all very "uncle at a wedding"

It's pretty brick journalism though - in a time where there are highly influential people making actual Nazi salutes.

Yeah, you might be right. Watched it again.

He's certainly not doing the normal thing and holding his other hand where Hitler's moustache is. There is a brief moment when the left hand goes up.

From the BBC

Henning Wehn - a regular guest on BBC Radio 5 live's Fighting Talk - said: "What a non-story. Lighten up! If we're not allowed a bit of banter, what's the point of football? Or anything."

I have to agree with Henning.

Funnily enough, I was going to mention Hemming Wehn, but couldn't quote remember what he's said!

I bet the first thing he said when Tuchel was hired was " he's definitely an agent. You have got too close to actually winning now, ve must put a stop to zis. Two world wars und two world cups just doesn't work as a song."

I think there's a clear line between everything else he did (which is fine, just a bit naff) and the salute. The bits you could substitute for France and Agincourt are one thing, but anything more gets a bit Holocaust disrespecting.

Behave. As if the club is trying to put out there a load of manager speculation that will unsettle the manager/squad when we are still in the Europa. Sure, we probably won't be winning it but the club are not going to be doing anything to sabotage that right now.

Articles speculating about managers don't just happen when the club allows, 'Poch airtime' has been going on since he left and the player stuff you refer to is much a do about nothing....

It's not the club putting out stuff, it's how much the club is trying to manage/close the narrative.

If you want an example, go back 2 months, look at anything Ally Gold (he's one the club uses a lot for messaging) put out then, very consistent, Ange has club backing, no conversation in club about replacement. Then go back about 3 weeks, suddenly he is talking about replacements, and more importantly, he's not saying anything from the club contradicting.

PR is managed, not controlled but clubs want to have a say in the narrative, and if you don't think the narrative has changed (post the last cup exits), you aren't paying attention.

Holocaust disrespecting? I seriously doubt there was anyone that suffered in the holocaust watching.

So...you think there were surprisingly few watchers, that are children of those murdered during the holocaust, I wonder why.

Clearly, GB meant we should pay respect to the horrors of the holocaust and avoid trivialising them.

Read what i said again. Maybe this time properly.

of course the narrative has changed, the media smells blood because the results and performances have been poor. Suddenly they are digging up images of Poch and Levy from years gone by, and selling stories of this manager or that manager, all designed to draw in paying customers - or readers.

Its nothing to do with the club who largely have to stay quiet on all internal matters. I would also say that to label Ali Gold a mouthpiece of the club is to do a decent, if unspectacular journalist a disservice. Ali will tell you he is his own man, even if he does have a good relationship with some key people around the club. Its easy enough to see this is the case, as his expectation would be that he got to break transfer stories with leaks from the club in return, and he literally never beats any of the Romano's etc to the punch.

Alli Gold is a genuine Spurs fan who could take an hour to say what could be said in 5-10 mins. His downfall is the padding he puts around the message he is delivering. His content is pretty decent otherwise. He's a difficult watch.

His best moments are when he asks the searching questions in the pressers. The questions that the non-supporting journos would never think about.

I just wish Michaal Bridge would leave Sky and take on the Alli role. Bridge is top class.

Doesn't really matter. Tavistok are a seperate company to enic. Enic are not owned by tavistok. They are owned by levy and lewis family trusts. Which josh might be a beneficiary of. But his role in tavistok will have no say in tottenham.
It matters when some posters such as @Gutter Boy suggest that son is 'shadowing' father, when in fact the son is probably in control of a lot more than father.
