I agree with this partially, but still think we cannot under-estimate the effects of injuries on our squad for months, the subsequent 'all back together and struggling for rhythm/match-fitness' factor, and as has been said, the realisation that our entire season essentially rests on two games...then hopefully the next two...then really really hopefully, one more.
That's a lot of hope we are holding onto! Even if we get to the final, I still feel like we would put in a sub par performance. Refer to previous final performances we have done!

I think I will only actually believe it when I see Son hold the cup (which at this point will only be in my dreams)

I don't disagree at all, however something in my own DNA tells me that 'miserable pricking' it with negative assumptions is not a healthy way for me to follow this football club. Until we're knocked out, we're in, and in with a chance to win.

We have a great chance if we turn up
Frankfurt is a tough draw but they are gung-ho. They are all about their attacking
They are a good side and personally I’ve evened impressed with how their manager has stepped up
Their form isn’t great despite what people think. We have a very good chance if we’re smart on the pitch

I'm the same.

We may have had injuries but all those bodies could finish the season strong because of them. There just might be a freshness about some of our key players.

Cup football is about footballing gods and key moments in the games. You don't necessarily need consistency to win cups. You need your slice of luck and a whole load of belief.

In 2019, I heard it was also about player bonuses. Forget expensive watches, those guys earned a lot of money getting to that final.

This is where any rational argument for us winning something falls down though :D.....

Forget all the footballing arguments about why we ended up in the 2019 CL final. It was years worth of crap from the footballing gods that they gave back to us in a 6 month period. Those gods made sure Moura scored against Barca to get us past xmas. They made sure VAR saved Eriksen's bacon against City, after Higuain's offside goal in 2018 for Juve. They also allowed that prick Anthony Taylor to keep Valencia on the pitch in the FA Cup semi against Chelsea and made sure Dier only hit the upright in the second half. That was made up for with Moura's hatrick.

We have another 6 years of credit with the footballing gods. They will make sure we win this EL
