Cheatski are still scum

What's the saying about not buying players cause of a good world cup?

This boy any good? Didn’t watch the WC so haven’t seen him play?

I know Chelsea have found a way around FFP with the long contracts but they could be sowing the seeds of their own destruction here. Tied into paying big wages for 6-8 years for players who are quite risky.

Had a very good World Cup
But hard to tell how good he actually is having only played half a season in Europe

All they need do is sell an academy player or 2 each year they're fine.

Nah, Chelski always survive. After the nuclear apocalypse, the only traces left of the world as we knew it, will be roosterroaches, Keith Richards and Chelski. Fact.

I’ve no doubt they’ll survive. Like you say, they’re the footballing equivalent of roosterroaches. But they may find themselves with a massive wage bill for failed players long after their owner has gotten bored with spunking hundreds of millions. That could seriously impact their competitiveness.

Heres hoping anyway…

Why the fudge are some clubs (Manure and this lot) allowed 1 extra hour to complete deals? Deadline should be exactly that! If you can't do a deal in time, you should have started it earlier!
Ridiculous to give dispensation for a deadline everyone have known about for years!

Just the €545m NET spend for Chelsea this season then.

Remember seeing a lot of posters on here reveling in Chelsea's hypothetical demise once Abramovich got sanctioned, how they weren't going to be able to spend any money and would fade in to obscurity..

The money spent doesn't guarantee success but it continues the idea of a level playing field to be entirely unrealistic. Here's hoping it goes badly wrong for them but if it does they'll just switch up managers / owners and find some other poorly written rules to exploit that will be amended after the event.

They are an investment consortium. They have borrowed the money they are spending. Now it is possible they keep borrowing and spending but it is also possible that (like fsg at liverpool) the spending stops and the investors try to get a return on their investment.
