Cann we make the top 4 or 5?

This league it's all about can you put a run together, a couple of 3 or 4 game win streaks and we would be right back there.
 
Top 5 potentially, but top 4 is a no for me. We are already behind the curve and are unable to get a consistency of results necessary (2 wins and a draw and out a block of 4 games) to achieve it.

I'll take Top5 and I would love an actual run of consistent performances and results.
 
Too early to judge, outside the top 3 all teams have good runs then bad runs I wouldnt rule us in or out of anything yet.

But I would hope we place a greater importance on the Europa League this season, I feel this has a better chance of us reaping rewards over anything else for both a trophy and CL.....

Terrible result for us, losing to Palace

We now have separation of the top 2.......then the following 5........ then the crap like Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth and Spurs :D :D

About where I am too. Not out of the question but honestly I feel Villa are more consistent and have a better manager.
 
In the last 12 months we have got 53 points from 37 league games and Bournemouth have got more than us in that period...

No we won't so forget the league and win the Europa...

It's not too early. You need to win 2 games and draw 1 out a block of every 4 league games +1/2 wins across the league campaign to finish on the 70-72 points that have historically been necessary to finish 4th. We are already off this course and need a converted run of positive results to get back on that course. Given our away record, it's just not going to happen.

In other words run as close to 2pts a game for a pretty good season

Can only respectfully disagree, it is too early. It is fair to suggest the historical points total required but there are so many variables throughout a season, with teams form taking a clear fluctuation for better or worse. We were riding high at this time last year, look where we finished. Opposite for Chelsea.

At the end of the day, Villa who people would say are in much better form than us are just 5 points better off and we play them at home Sunday and it's hardly impossible to imagine us winning that game and as a result being 2 points off of them. There is also one or two teams whose form falls away in comparison to early season, and one or two who builds momentum at the right time to end of season.

Well that's depressing!
 
I really can not see us making the top four and to be honest i have thought that since the begining of the season and i beieve that anyone one who believes we can is fooling themselves. I think/hope we can win a cup though and i really do not see why we can not.
