American politics

I've said this before but dems need to spot the cracks. This is an open goal with the ball sitting on the line. It takes no imagination to come up with a way to drive a wedge between them. All they have to do is refer to FElon as President Musk every time they open their mouth and it will drive Trump insane.

There is a World Cup trophy on the desk behind Trump.

This is exactly what I said to friends earlier

Refer to Musk only as President

Refer to Trump first lady

No way the Donald would accept thinking that’s might be his legacy

I saw a theory somewhere that Trump renamed it the Gulf of America because Biden had made oil drilling illegal in the Gulf of Mexico.

Implying then that Trump thought the name change meant drilling for oil is no longer illegal in those waters.

I haven't fact checked any of this, but won’t be surprised if there's truth to it.

To be fair, we renamed the German Sea to the North Sea for nationalist reasons (admittedly it was 1914)

For anyone who takes an SSRI (I have for years) this is terrfiying.

I am not expecting it to be a thing here unless reform win but I'd say meds like these save many many lives.
I actually think that's a really good bill.
There is a propensity to over prescribe meds in some US areas.

The policy statement is good. Especially points B&C.
The concern, however, is that the answers will be very uncomfortable for American businesses and people, because the answer is lower ultra processed foods, fast foods and abundance of medication.
Those are significant pillars of US commerce.

The UK has the opposite issue - GPs are less likely to prescribe meds and focus on other treatments first, treatments that are understaffed and underfunded.
