If the democrats win the senate runoff elections tomorrow, the stakes will be even higher on Wednesday for Trump and the GOP representatives who wanna steal the election.

How far are they willing to go?

The ten living former secretaries of defense co wrote and opinion piece yesterday starting that the military should not in any way be used to alter the outcome of the election. If they're worried about that, it’s an omnious sign.
 
also rumours that he will invent military action in an effort to cling to power and argue it's dangerous to hand power over at a time of war.

basically a pretence to kick off a war with Iran.

As i've said before, no idea why people think the US are our 'cousins across the pond' because of something 400 years ago. Absolute crazy bunch of fudgers over there. Normality bar on an entire different scale there.

It is ominous but realistically this cannot happen despite all the noise. The purpose of the recent election challenges is many-fold IMO. Some of it is performative for Trump himself, to elicit a 'positive' tweet to aid their own political ambitions (e.g. T.Cruz). Trump will still have a hold on the base even in defeat. Another reason is to normalise this behavior for future elections. This challenging of the results on the thinnest of pretexts will be a new string in the GOP bow going forward, and unless they get slapped back now they'll have no problem engaging in this behaviour as default henceforth. The percentage of the electorate leaning republican is diminishing, they're literally dying off, so they need a new tactic for their power grab and this is it.

I can't remember who said it but one political commentator asked the question "What if this was successful?". It would almost certainly be the end of any normal politics in the US in the future and possibly an end to the republic itself. They want this to fail and to ride the tailwind of white grievance all the way to the next election.
 
I wonder if we'll see Trump's fantastic health care plan before he goes. It's supposed to be the best. No one has ever seen a better plan.

Seeing as this is the American politics thread, just wanted to give a slow clap on the coverage of Nashville in the media. Thank GHod it was a white guy otherwise we might be looking at a serious problem here.
