We don't need an expensive signing that isn't quite what we need.

Would happily take the right player(s) on deadline day rather than moving quickly and not getting what we need. Even in the tricky spot we find ourselves in now.

Hopefully we're somehow keeping things quiet despite having Paratici back (what are the odds of that?).

If true its a very good signing at a time we need someone like him IMO.

Goes straight into the side, gives energy and legs, is tenacious, has drive. If we improve the squad again in the summer and he becomes a player on rotation it still massively improves the depth, he is better than Sarr, Bentancur & Bissouma and we can look to trim that.

Im not unhappy if this happens at all

Need numbers now Bentancur is out for 3 months. Would have been happier if it were a loan as I’ve always saw him as a water carrier type, but that may have been my anti Chelsea bias when watching him

Yep - I'm not gutted at all that we seem to be missing out on Gallagher and Paqueta.

I'd probably rather have Gallagher out of the two. Football intelligence, leadership and work rate is always handy in a squad. I don't see elite qualities though on the football side.
