He plays with a calm confidence. A subtle swagger. A veritable versatility. And he has skill. His outside of the right boot cross for Solanke was a thing of beauty. Long may he continue to play for us.

Gray too. Bergvall too. Bissouma tried as well (but that ultimately cost us), as did Maddison second half.

I wish we would play him on the right. Imagine his slalomings runs up the right hand side unhindered by him having to cut back on to his right foot. He can dribble either side but being on his strong side will add a lot to this side, so much more dynamic.

It would be a great place to be able to rotate between Spence and Porro. I can't lie I actually think Spence is the better defender, especially from what we've seen on the left.

Seems big we persevered with him on the left to show his worth because we won’t buy a left sided option

We won't or we can't? I wonder whether we channeled all our energies into finding a hybrid LCB/LB in the summer and probably overlooked the available LBs in the process. Dorgu springs to mind.

We now need to get ready for the next transition. That is Porro and Spence manning the RB and Uodgie and new LB maninng the left, with Phillips and Vuskovic padding out the squad. Archie is always utility for any position. It's your words, but we need more natural lefties in this squad.

Seems like Utd might be looking at Rayan Aït-Nouri now for big money. Other reports say Dorgu. That will mean that price tag just went up. We will probably keep our heads down until Utd have been fleeced.
