Source is Kieran Gill, Football Reporter for the Daily Mail covering Chelsea.

So does that make it any more reliable (given it is the Daily Fail) or is he acting as a mouthpiece for the club to try and generate interest in the market?

I think he's a bit of a Chelsea mouthpiece/recipient of information so it'll be in their interests to make it known that Jackson is available and make him seem in demand.
If we've done any more than make a passing enquiry about price in case we need an emergency option at the end of the window, I would be disappointed
If we end up signing him and allowing Chelsea to turn a profit I'll be even more disappointed.

34 goals and assists in 64 PL games is a decent return.

Puts him miles ahead of what we have currently have

I'd take him as a loan for a season with an option

It's actually 24 goals in 65 PL games, 8 in 23 for Bayern is even more telling, not what you pay the money they are asking for.

Sure if we just wanted cover and could get a loan, but if it's 40M+, makes more sense to suffer through this season with Richi/Solanke and spend big for the right target (maybe bring in a youth prospect in interim)

I don’t doubt that he will score in a RDZ setup I’m more concerned about his missing of chances especially when he may only get one chance in the game.

The crowd at WHL is unforgiving at times and I think he will sink.

Wouldn't dream of dropping 65 million on him, I think Chelsea will end up having to loan him out again as no one will want to offer him the same wages/long term contract length 2033 and another year option

We should seriously consider him if it is.

A look at the data, Jackson's last season with Chelsea, Solanke's best season with us and Richi's last season

Data would suggest Richi is better than most people think, and Solanke is worse and Jackson's conversion is exactly what the eye test says.

Jackson as I understand is a player all the data nerds love. But he’s a player that won’t work at Spurs. For all the good he does he misses way too many sitters and the crowd would get on his back far too quickly.

Maresca didn’t want him.
Kompany didn’t want him.
Alonso doesn’t want him.

I think they are a good judge.
