Rafael Leao

I questioned his atttiude and that’s still fair. I’d say Id be excited about this if he’s is the 3rd attacking signing. As in we get Kroupi and Savinho in as well. A loan with an option would also be ideal.

You back RDZ to get him. He should be motivated as this would be his last chance to fulfil his potential as secure a big money contract.

If it does work out. You have Savinho, Tel, Kroupi and eventually Xavi, Odobert and Moore back from a likely loan that can take his spot.

100% just a loan with an option.

I've thought he was younger...but he's 27.

Far too many questions about him to give him a 4 or 5 year deal at that age.

For a start I would take Somerville
I wasn’t trying to argue with you…just wanted some ideas as to who you thought were better options, that’s all.

Good player, still room to develop further and just about PL proven. I liked him when was at the team before WHam (Leeds?). Can he play on the left?

Idk what his wages are but AC Milan (is it?) clearly want to free up his wages and he’s been inconsistent for them. Only shows up and performs at the highest level now and again.

Yet, I think he would be a good signing. I think De Zerbi will get more from him, and demand more focus and bring him on. He’s at an age where he can mature and realise his potential. Also tens of millions cheaper than other players, because of the risks of him not being fully focused. But he may have the highest ceiling of linked attackers, if RDZ thinks he can work with Leao. Have a feeling it might just work and be a good match.

I’d prefer we went for N’Diaye. I thought other clubs were in for him but it’s gone quiet.

I like N’Diaye he is great player to watch.

If we get Leao then that’s a huge signing but I’m reserving judgment as I feel he’s inconsistent.

Still not my first choice because I do not thinknhe is consistent enough but my stance has softened

From what I’ve seen of him he’s inconsistent and very streak almost like James Madison. Can go on a run of 5 games looking amazing and then does nothing for the next 5. I don’t think he should be our number 1 target. But he will do if we can’t get our other options across the line

Can’t say i have seen loads of him but what does he do that Tel doesn’t? Seems like a waste of money to me, he isn’t out of this world, he doesn’t even look really good.

Leao's ceilling is way higher than Tel's. The player he reminds me off the most (purely in natural ability wise) is actually Ndombele.

In the way that the disinterest seems to come from it not being enough of a challenge. He can do everything, in the sense that if he had the application he'd be talked about as one of the best players in the world.

Having watched Milan for years, unfortunately like Ndombele he is someone who is capable of looking like the next Ballon d'Or winner and a pub player within 5 minutes of each other.

Sometimes those type of players need the right club and right manager and sometimes nothing can get them to kick on.

He wouldn't be first on my list, I'd look at N’Diaye. If it was a loan with no obligation however I'd swap him for Muani in a heartbeat.
