Xavi Simons

I will say I think Xavi should be quite a Frank type player. He feels uncomplicated and unflashy, still technically skilled but with excellent execution and decision making. Can see it being a strong fit for the manager.
Agreed. Capable of some real special things technically from what I've seen, but doesn't do so just to be flashy (much at least). Seems a real hard worker (which we need) and a fairly well rounded player with real creativity (which we also very much need).

This summer has been the summer of even romano getting stuff wrong, so until the silly video which justifies the existence of our video making team appears, I'm not getting carried away.

After the way it's been the club must be hating on the ITK b*stards like Plettigoal and orstein and romano.

It's always been the case that it's not done until it's official. Anyone saying anything before it's official will end up being wrong sometimes.

I don't mind Romano and others getting stick. They're in part in the business of doing the bidding of agents. But quite a bit of the stick they're getting is a result of people thinking that close, deal agreed with club etc means more than that.

Romano or Ornstein saying something is done, or "here we go" remains as close to something being official as something can be. But until it's signed and official it's never actually done.

I get all of their recent success. I’m just not convinced that going forward we need to accept the prestige argument as a reason we would lose out to them.

We have a bigger stadium. We have a big history and huge fan base. I’m not convinced that prestige would / should be the reason we would lose a player to Chelsea. Lower wages offered, less chance of immediate trophies, I can understand those arguments. But we have it in our control to impact those variables too. And I’m not convinced prestige on its own should be a reason.
I didn't think it's a reason to lose out on a player necessarily, but they are more prestigious and winning competitions serious competitions is more of a pull than a fancy stadium all things being equal.

I think this one was pretty much done as soon as he flew to London tbh. I reckon we and the player knew Chelsea weren't persuing, just the media trying to dramatise it all making out Chelsea were still lurking in the background.

I would have preferred him to Eze, this is such good news assuming something doesn't go wrong last minute....

Romano is a grade A clown shoe

I'm a big fan of the ITK stuff, all part of the window fun and games, but he is working for clubs and and agents

The consistent Isak twitting was clearly tapping up.

This year's media theme is "sabotage". The gutter press just aren't happy with players moving to clubs in a competitive landscape. There always has to be a first or second choice and one club sabotaging the other.

There are so many of these media guys just cheating a living.

Wish I could paid that much for stating the bleeding obvious every day. There's not even any repercussions when you get it wrong.

What a great job to have.
Interestingly when Saudi Sportswashing Machine threaten the "media" meaning him and a couple of the others, they stopped

I hope someone sues him
