OMT: Spurs v Chelsea Thursday, 8pm at Stamford Bridge

Totally agree in any walk of life you have to accept responsibility for your actions, the players are making basic mistakes and appear happy to let the manager take the blame. No matter how bad you think Postercoglus tactics are I'm sure he's not instructed players to give up possession and leave players unmarked. I've never looked so forward to the end of a season as this. The manager will get the sack which may postpone the continual moaning but I'm sure there are some who will carry on at least until Christmas.
I think Postercoglu has his idea of how the game should be played and I have a lot of respect for that, he has had to put up the worse injury list since the Munich crash and constant sniping in the media and his own fans, the pressure on him is unbearable to my mind and I'm not surprised by his reactions.
It is the Spurs fans behaviour that has been so disappointing for me. What do we think will happen when we create a negative atmosphere. I have resolved to slowly withdraw from connects with fans. In my personal life, I help people to grow to be better than who they are. Negative vibes never help. Critical solid feedback helps. If I were Ange, I would be tinkled off with myself for taking the Spurs role. He has tried to be positive and the response - damn. I have no problem with him reacting as a human would - why? He is human!

Your talking balls
I’ve never said that
But I just don’t get how the players get excused from failing in the basics and it’s always deemed to be tactical
That Effort they had in the first 40 seconds came because two £45m centre backs didn’t deceive between them whi would mark their ONE striker. That’s awful. Truly weak from the pair of them and fudging naive
Similarly at the end when we’re chasing the game and we have djed, Bentacur and Tel receiving the ball we have no one do sing to receive it. Nine of these superstar, mega star, mega paid players realised they needed to help the other players out. Again that’s shocking from the players
Ange has issues but these players are fudging dumb
Some of the dumb, stupid things I saw from players in the Chelsea game alone I just can't get onboard blaming the manager for. Ange has his issues obviously but at some point players have to take responsibility.

It's the same story time and time again here - it's not the players, it's Mourinhos fault/Contes fault/Anges fault. Players always overhyped on here and as a result it must be the manager. The more years that go by, the more I really question the culture of the club and that applies from the chairman, to the players, to a big portion of the fans at games - we have an awful mix.....

I saw some dumb tactics too.

We’ve been struggling, we need a result, yet less then a minute in they get in 1 on 1 with a simple ball over the top because our D line is ridiculously high.

He’s his own worst enemy as he refuses to set us up smartly.

What was those tactics?

Players never take responsibility or get the blame
It’s odd
Yet we should have a higher wage bill…
There is a real culture issue at spurs and your right, the mix is grim
Just heard again yesterdays contes rant about the players and it’s scarily still true

That's all well and good and also props to you for trying to lift people when and wherever you find them.

But the crowd at the game has been the crowd for time and memorial. It's waxes and wains.

The online/SM/media stuff I agree with. It's draining if you take notice. But Ange always states he isn't taking notice.
'it doesn't effect my day one bit, mate'...says this all the time.

The bloke has (bizarrely) had barely any comeback from fans or the media until very lately, despite over a year of terrible performances; during which he has often been arrogant in his approach when it comes to his own failing tactics and, latterly, his own fans.

The reasons for his failure are entirely his own.

No teams sit deep unless they are counter attacking
There aren’t many of those anymore
The issue you talk about is fixed quite easily with players passing the ball better

That would help too.

We’ve built a squad and a defence unit to be a counter attacking team though. That’s how we should be playing.

And we should start every game sitting deep to stop giving up easy chances early on, it happens every game, it’s a problem to fix, like the conceding goals from unmarked opposition players at the far post. Change something so that specific thing stops happening.

When he started he said it was the fans that would be the true judge of how he is doing in the job - so i don't believe him when he now says it doesn't affect him. He'll know that he's getting a poor appraisal from the people's opinion he values the most

We have scored more early goals than any team
The reason we concede that early chance is because the players are stupid
They always seem to assume someone else will pick up the free man

The Ange in or out thread started on 6th of December and I imagine there must have been some unrest before that was started. This was while we were still in 3 cup competitions, played 4 games in 12 days with the injury list growing (4 without our regular centrebacks and 3 without Vicario) but any team in the league could cope with that. Most would agree the the performances have not been good but to ignore the injuries shows a bias and then to be critical of over playing some players when you've just got kids to replace them bizarre.
