OMT: Spurs v Chelsea Thursday, 8pm at Stamford Bridge

Leadership
This bloke is a clam but he gets it

Similar to what Colwil was saying during his post match interview but the only Academy player we had in squad is young Moore who didn’t get on the pitch.

Whilst the likes of Skipp and Winks were never going to be much more than squad players for us having them around the training ground to instil into our signings how much our fan base despise the likes of Chelsea and ARSEnal might’ve helped avert this atrocious London mini-league record we now have.

I’d hope out captain who has been here so long would get it

Son is a nice club ambassador who used to be able to lead by example but certainly ain’t going to rouse our rabble with an inspirational speech or knock a few heads together.

Whilst his football might be a tad turgid for our fans at least Moyes understands the importance of making his home ground a fortress… feels like an eternity ago that we did that uneaten season at WHL.

The Ange in or out thread started on 6th of December and I imagine there must have been some unrest before that was started. This was while we were still in 3 cup competitions, played 4 games in 12 days with the injury list growing (4 without our regular centrebacks and 3 without Vicario) but any team in the league could cope with that. Most would agree the the performances have not been good but to ignore the injuries shows a bias and then to be critical of over playing some players when you've just got kids to replace them bizarre.
Ange was all in on the decision to have kids as his backup, so unfortunately that's not usable as an excuse as to why there was little rotation or the poor performances. If you choose to have younger players as your squad fillers you do this acknowledging all of the highs and lows that young players typically suffer from. You can't then latterly use those same highs and lows as an excuse. You knew or you should have known that before hand.

I had my concerns 3 games into this season and was repeatedly told that last season didn't count and that I had to wait for at least 10 games before I should evaluate how things were going. I didn't berate him nor did I boo him or anything at that stage but yes you are right concerns about his management were bubbling up rather early. Ultimately that is the nature of the job, you can't really flimflam fans, eventually they will see things for what they are.

What that suggests to me is you didn't especially care for his work as it was early doors, and that what we're seeing unfold is (in your case) being somewhat refracted through your light prism. Not a criticism, just an observation. I was firmly in his corner, so am currently viewing this brickshowwith light refracted through my prism (injuries, etc). There are some universal truths in this too...
