Wilson Odobert

Looked lively when he came on, was very apparent how fast he is compared to the other players on at the time.
Great to have him back. Loves a little 'give and go' doesn't he? Was also teammates with Tel in the French youth teams so they have a bit of chemistry from those u21 games. Fingers crossed he stays fit and has a real go at taking that LWF spot.

Absolutely. Just a cameo, but still showed a bit of what we've missed out on when he's been injured.

Good to see him looking fresh and fit even if it was just for a couple of minutes. Looked confident too. Those things can take a bit of time after a lengthy injury.

Hopefully he'll get more minutes going forward and look good then too.

Definitely, there was one moment late on when he was leading a break and did some stepover/shimmy thing at full speed. It didn't lead to anything but it's the first time I've seen any Spurs player offer a few tricks like that in a long time. Will be great to have a different option available.

Yeah, that's probably the same situation I thought of. Just looked utterly confident, I'm just going to do my thing kind of attitude. Great to see.

Odobert, our dribbly winger. I like him, has a lot of potential. I like that he always looks to make something happen, is positive and attacks his man.

Room for improvement in his interplay with Udogie but that will come with time.

Looked like he always wanted to cut inside which doesn’t fit with our game plan. Needs to be braver and try to go on the outside a lot more often

Yeah that’s why he needs to work on interplay with the LB. If he’s going to cut in on his right then he should use Udogie’s runs more to create opportunities. But I agree needs to go on the outside more often.

It’s only his third start for us so hopefully more to come

We need a wide player to come inside. Someone to combined with Kulu in the 10. Its a big part of the reason that we arent an effective attacking unit

If ange wants wingers to play wide. Why use inverted wingers in the role? Play left footers on the left and right footers on the right.
Ange having wingers stay wide is a narrative that some fans have latched on to, the evidence suggests he's flexible in how they play. He wouldn't have signed Odobert if he wanted him to just stay wide the entire time. It's far more likely that saw the need for dribbly combinational player from the left. It's kind of obvious, he's played Son there and signed Solomon and Odobert who play that where as does Werner arguably (just poorly).
