Wilson Odobert

It's one thing that's a bit of an issue with our squad building - Odobert, Moore, Yang, Son, Richarlison and Werner all prefer/do better on the left, whereas only Johnson is right.
Werner will be gone at the end of the season. Son has 1-2 seasons left. Yang is a right winger that can play on the left if needed.
It will be sorted naturally in a year or so.

Looking forward to seeing Odobert back, he looks like very promising player .
As long as we play him on the left. Never looked convincing on the right, played one game on the left and people were wanting to see more.

Need to stop trying square pegs in round holes.

He's played plenty of times on the right for Burnley and did fine.

He isn't a square peg on the right, and hasn't played many games yet.

Not sure how you can write him off on the right already.
No writing him off, just pointing out he plays better on the Left, where he played for Burnley. I am very excited Odobert, especially when he played out on the left.

We do it too often. Kulu has played in the center where ever he played, but for us, we stick him on the right and he a walking waste of space, playing in the middle he is starting to become a far better player. Still needs to improve his final ball, but he is a lot better where his prefer position is.

No, he played on the left and the right for Burnley as well as CF on occasions. There's no harm in letting younger players have a run out in different positions. It gives them experience and also they can end up being better in a different position as they mature.

Played what about 5 games and you have already made your mind up what his best posistion is. The mind boggles.

Well, I would actually like a natural left winger as a replacement for Son. Some who can excel at what he does.

No I didn't but what I did see of him he was always on the left.

And if the left is his best/natural position, then just play him there. Would rather him playing the Werner.

Fair enough, however at the age of 19 there is no real need to say he can not do both sides as he matures. If he was in mid/late 20s then that may be a different cicunstance. He is a kid who is still developing his game.

I'd prefer a player that is quality anywhere along the front, someone that can excel at what he does in different positions.
He is two footed so should be able to develop on both wings and still be a natural winger.
