I do not rate Coutinho and have not been a fan for a while due to how over hyped and overrated he was at Liverpool. Used to make me fume how he would be in for all the yearly awards and Eriksen wasn't even though Eriksen out performed him stats wise and was the same age aswell as playing for a team who consistently finished above Liverpool.

To be honest, I'd be happy with a straight swap for Eriksen if that was a possibility. Wouldn't want to see Eriksen at another prem team and Coutinho does have experience of the league and has worked with Poch before.

The ITKs are backing this Coutinho stuff. I was disappointed when we signed Sissoko, but this would be a whole new level of "WTF are we thinking?". I'm just going to assume it's a ploy to put pressure on Betis in order to maintain some faith in Poch and Levy.

I don't believe there's much in the Coutinho links from a Spurs perspective. Seems more like noise while they try to get other deals done. Spurs weren't looking for a Ceballos loan so aren't likely to pay mega money for another one, regardless of how good the older Coutinho is.

With this insane swirl of rumours around Fernandes, Dybala, Lo Celso, and Coutinho, it really does underline how much we NEED to get 1-2 of these signings over the line. I don't know enough about any of them to have a strong opinion either way (though I lean toward GLC), but if there's this much smoke without fire, I think you'll find a very disappointed fanbase and crucially a very disappointed manager. Levy's going to have to part with some serious cash to take us to the next level, and all four of those attackers are the kinds of players who can get us there and now we need to snare a couple of them.
