Apparently, nobody picked up on that, but, while at PSG, Tuchel had a reputation for his lax match preparations and video analysis, preferring to trust his 'instincts'. I'm biased because I never rated him in the first place. He struck gold while at Mainz and, from there, he only worked for big clubs, never staying too long in the same place.
I find the above rumor credible because my gut feeling is, he's got a decent system on paper but, unlike a lot of top managers, results tend to nose-dive the longer he stays, which would indicate that the theory is sound but he either can't or won't put up the necessary work to adapt to the opposition/circumstances. Of course, it's just my intuition, and certainly not a FACT - as people used to type all the time on message boards twenty years ago.
