Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

That interview with Gerrard sounds like he is already making excuses for Liverpool not winning the league. Never mind Stevie, Brendan may still get manager of the month for April again

Steven Gerrard said:
I haven’t lost my man at a set-piece. I haven’t missed a penalty. I haven’t made a bad pass or a mistake. That’s why it was cruel. Every single person on the planet slips at some point in their life, whether it is on a set of stairs, on the floor or whatever.

That Marco guys twitter is hilarious. Trying to get photos with any footballer in the US and being told to **** off by all of them.

Joe Cole: Liverpool think they are as big as Chelsea, but they're WRONG!

The ex-England international has criticised his old club for thinking that they are the 'biggest team in England'.

Cole, 32, joined Liverpool after being released by Chelsea in 2010.

The former West Ham star spent seven-years with the west London side, but was plagued by injuries during his time at Stamford Bridge.

He failed to hold down a place in the starting 11 during his stay at Liverpool, and made only 26 appearances for the club before returning to his boyhood team West Ham in 2013.

In an interview with CFCUK Fanzine, Cole spoke about his time at Anfield, and revealed that everyone at the club genuinely believed that they were the biggest side in the country.

Cole said: "When I joined, the guy interviewing me said “you’ve joined the biggest club in the country” and reeled off the trophies they’d won.

"I just said 'Yeah, if you put it like that, I suppose you’re right', and Liverpool used that as the headline to the interview.

"I didn’t want to upset anyone so I just went along with it. But obviously they are not the biggest club any more."

He added: ‘How do you judge how big a club are? Nottingham Forest won the European Cup twice but they’re not a bigger club than Chelsea."

:ross: can just picture the reaction over at RAWK when these comments make their way over there. Truth hurts

I thought the dippers looked good against Dortmund tbh. Rodgers has embedded his system of play and they have strengthened the back line with Lovren. While I am wary about making predictions I think they will adapt fine to losing Freddie Mercury. Better sadly, than we did last season on losing Bale. In fact I will go as far as saying they will do better than l'**** as they showed last season they have the staying power to see it through to the end. Arsenal on the other hand burn themselves out by March, I will be surprised if they don't do that again this season, depending of course on who they buy between now and the end of the transfer window.

I don’t think Liverpool will win the league.

I think it was a miracle, really, to get to the point that they did last year. I think they were absolutely at full pelt last year, 100 per cent, to get to the standard that they got to, they really were.

I thought at one point with three weeks to go that they were going to win it because the momentum was with them, the performances were outstanding and they just fell away at the last.

Success this year for Liverpool, for me, would look like a Champions League finish, getting to the knockout phase of the Champions League and doing well in a domestic cup.

That’s not being patronising, I just think that last year was really an over-achievement and I don’t see them being stronger than City and Chelsea.

Forget United and Arsenal because we don’t quite know what they are going to do yet, but I think the two at the top – City and Chelsea – they’ll find it difficult to get past those two.

He's tipped them for fifth. Oooh, amount of abuse he'll get  It's only okay to write someone off if it's not Liverpool.
