Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

We'll sign Carroll either for about £10M or a season long loan on deadline day.

He's desperate to come back and happy to take a pay cut.

Good signing for you as you know exactly what you are getting, and have made 'pool look like mugs to the tune of 25mil.
What would that mean for Cisse or Ba? On the way out?

Why do you need him though? You already have two better strikers than Carroll.

Can see why West Ham want him as they are a long ball team.

So, in essence, Liverpool paid 25 million quid to loan him for a year and a half.

Much like the Keane deal.

And then scousers wonder where all the money's gone.

And they can't figure where everyone else are getting theirs from.

You need more than two strikers when trying to compete on 4 fronts, Carroll will be a replacement for Leon Best who has gone to Blackburn.

There is also another African Cup of Nations this year, although we have been very lucky in that Ivory Coast are playing Senegal in a play off so we will keep either Tiote or Ba and Cisse depending on the outcome of that match.

I forgot about the African Nations. But he still won't be first choice. West Ham is probably his best choice if he wants first team football above all else.

In what sense do you mean compete?

Presuming we get through the qualifier and into the group Stage of the Europe League we are going to play 50+ first team games, there is no way that Ba and Cisse will play in all of them.

We will be looking to finish in the top 6 of the Premier League and get to the latter stages of all 3 cup competitions.

 not this season sunny boy, you've had your one season. the top 6 will be city, utd, arse, spurs, chelsea and pool. not necessarily in that order

Saudi Sportswashing Machine will remain a threat so long as Graham Carr is there to provide Pardew with bargain gems. They'll be stronger than they were last season and in the mix for a top four challenge again.

I wouldn't put alot of money on liverpool finishing ahead of Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Looking at rodgers philosophy and pool's players it is by no means certain that it will work. Same goes for us. I believe avb will do well, but it is by no means a certanti.

No way will Saudi Sportswashing Machine be challenging top 4 next season.

Can't see them as a Top 4 challenger either, but I do think there's a decent chance they'll finish above Liverpool. I can't see beyond the two Manchester teams for 1st and 2nd spots again, and I think 3rd and 4th will be fought out between the three top London clubs (ourselves, Chelsea and Arsenal). So Liverpool and Saudi Sportswashing Machine will be fighting it out (along with Everton and maybe Fulham and/or this season's overachievers) for 6th spot.

Having said that; it's football... damn near anything could happen!

why do you say that ?

they were every bit worth their position last season and they look to be strengthening this summer

Agreed. No reason at all why they can't at least emulate last season's efforts.

Anyone writing them off as a threat already hasn't been paying attention.
