Gallagher just sounds like a predictable tired link, rinse and repeat. We constantly get linked with a familiar domestic player in whatever position, then out of the blue sign an unknown from abroad. Pickford constantly linked, Vicario signed is just one example....

Think we need to move away from the idea of first choices, there will be games that are a lot more suited to Gallagher than Sarr for example

Talk that Sarr will be homegrown next season when he needs to be included in the 25 man squad.
No point keeping 3 keepers as back up, but that still fills the 7 spaces for HG
Don't think Sarr will be homegrown. He already turned 21 in September and the rule says three years or seasons before their 21st birthday. Unless that one month at the start of this season counts as a whole season.
Edit: Trying to find the exact rule, but it seems a player has to be registered to a club in the English or Welsh FA for three entire seasons before or including the one they turn 21. Might be homegrown after all.

Gallagher would be a solid signing, he's maybe not the most technically proficient but would bring energy and add value in helping us close out games at the very least due to his work rate in pressing.
40m euros as mentioned above would be good value as well considering earlier in the summer it was rumound to be £50m
