The Stats Thread

4th this season would be the best achievement the club has managed since winning the FA Cup in 91 IMO. I would still take 6th.

Would be amazing but not sure it would eclipse beating Chelsea to win the Carling Cup in 2007-08 or Bale's 'Taxi for Maicon' season 2010-11 when we reached the QFs of the CL.

2010/11 was a great ride and I do think our CL campaign is under appreciated by some, but our squad is nowhere near as good now as it was back then.

I wouldn't be surprised if Poch hasn't sat down the players and gone over the list of games left and showed them that the majority are winnable. If he can make the players approach every remaining game as a do-or-die one, anything can happen. We have 10 games left: win 8 of them, which is doable, and we'll have 74 points. Depending on other teams' results, that could be good for 4th or even 3rd.

7 wins from the last 10 games. Doable but very hard indeed! Think we have to beat both Divechester United and So'ton. Hope Everton are safe come last game of the season!

Spurs - Leicester
Burnley - Spurs
Spurs - Aston Villa
Saudi Sportswashing Machine - Spurs
So'ton - Spurs

Tottenham XI v QPR: 23 years and 290 days old (07/03/15)
Tottenham won this London derby 2-1 at Loftus Road, with goals from 21-year-old striker Harry Kane, who as of 11/03/15 has scored 16 Premier League goals this term, one behind Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa. Spurs have fielded four of out of five of the youngest starting line-ups this season, although it is quite a way off the youngest ever Premier League starting XI. That honour goes to Boro's side in 2006, who had an average age of 20 years and 182 days old.

fudgeing L'Arse, always seem to bomb after Christmas.

That's Wenger's whole schtick. His idea is to maximise his team's impact and effectiveness at times when opponents are suffering or disadvantaged. He does it at the game level, asking his sides to play with increased intensity towards the end of each half when the opponent is tired, and he does it at the season level, pacing the team and gearing up for a strong finish when others are likely to be hampered by injury and fatigue.

A much stronger CL squad might also have something to do with it.

Mind the gap.
