The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

I'm the same. I find all the talk in the lead up a bit pointless and boring. In fact I prefer the in game commentary to be in a foreign language as it doesn't colour my opinion of what I am seeing. Most of the English commentators do my head in anyway.

Our goal last week was "against the run of play"

I went ballistic!

Sky's version of football (they invented it you know) revolves around big money signings. It's all they want to talk about. Educating the fans about tactics and coaching? fudge that. Spending big is the only way.

It's basically the Pep, Conte and Mourinho show with side dishes of Wenger and Klopp. The other teams might as well be card board figures for Zlatan and co to dribble past.

Why I never turn on the football until five minutes from the kick off no matter who is playing. Just get he teams and watch the game.
Loath all pre-match hype. Dont mind a little bit chat after the game because that is, however loosely, at least based on real events. Well a little anyway!

Over the last several years Sky has crawled up its own arse and is full of its own importance ( so they believe), i packed it in years ago and i do not miss it one bit.

I've done that before. Changed it to avoid listening to Alan Smith and got Andy Townsend instead on the other English option. Quickly changed to Brazilian.

I hated it when Townsend was doing the Thursday night football with that other prick Clarke Carlise, never heard a pundit who drones on and on and says nothing as much as Townsend did/does.

Completely agree on the foreign commentary, I watch most of my games with French commentary, much less bias shown by them. Commentary really can color people's opinion.

This FNF on Sky Sports is just so wrong. How many fudgetoids on the gravy train?

Please Southampton , do the clams, ruin the script.

Keep an eye on that bent clam ref Taylor if he's needed.

Since this match started Pogba has earned more than £300. Manchester United pay him 45 pence every second of every day.
