The Official 2014/15 Premier League Thread

Lvg doesn't get the premier league. He's never managed in a competitive league. Half the games he could turn up and win.

Nigel Pearson finally a manager thats a nastier clam than Mourinho.

As for Pardew, he just stands there watching.

Agreed on BOTH. Pearson should be fined and banned from the touchline, the knob. But Pardew? What on EARTH was he not doing? Needs to be defending his man from a throat-grab. Shameful.

They really love Rooney at West Ham. "Roooooo..." every time he's gets it. Nice to see English fans supporting their own.

West Ham have got no one else to blame but themselves. They should've been up by 2 or 3 goals before Blind scored.

Agree on Pearson looks like a right chav who wants to go out down some town centre and smash people up in the chip shop at the end of the night.
Pardew was probably trying to keep out of it after his problems on the touchline last season.

Pardew was looking elsewhere when he grabbed his throat. They showed an angle on MOTD last night and you could see. Probably to the benefit of Pardew

Pearson not looking at the play as it happened, got clattered and took offence to it. Not sure what went through his head, maybe he thought he was saving face by acting like a tough man.

Back to the league and Allardyce is branding UTD long ball merchants lol. He's right of course. Gotta hurt being a UTD fan and seeing a Sam Allardyce team play better football than yours.

Some West Ham fans saying they were relieved to see Andy Carroll fail a late fitness test. Even if he's performing well when playing, they play better football and get better results without him.

Just seen the Nigel Pearson throat grab. What a bizarre incident! Pearson behaved like a complete knob. He clearly believes it was not an accident despite the fact that he wasn't even looking and couldn't have seen it. Also gave a chrulish interview on MOTD " I can look after myself don't worry about that." Eh?

Here really has that cool calculated hard man exterior but unfortunately everyone can see through it, what a complete tool.

Shame West Ham couldn't hold on. Thought a draw was fair enough in the end, but United really are struggling.

Can't believe how average they're looking, not just as a team, but even as individuals. Di Maria, Rooney, Falcao, Van Persie all look so meh...

They probably miss Carrick though...

For me, the Falcao purchase was wrong for them as LVG is still trying to crowbar Rooney into the side somewhere. He has the personel to actually setup a decent 433, but his insistence on keeping those three strikers on the field is looking likely to backfire on him.

Pearson blaming MOTD for all this. What a complete and utter tool ! Love Lineker taking the p1ss though !

Gary Lineker @GaryLineker
"Ah Nigel Pearson is blaming MOTD for making a mountain out of a molehill. We'd best be careful in future, the fella can look after himself."

When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging...

From the BBC live text coverage:

Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham

The gloves are off now. Both sides have decided they're just going to go for the throat now. Nigel Pearson tactics.

:D

QPR midfielder Joey Barton has just been booked for his seventh consecutive Premier League game. That's a record.

What took him so long?
