depends if they lose they could get a bye anyway with fenerbahce up for match fixing euro ban pending appeal aug 28th.

Yes, they could lose the ties and still go through. Both legs are played before the 28th August I believe.

yeah...there needs to be some clarity on this uefa......if they lose as to what happens if the appeal is thrown out.......how about Arsenal get demoted to the Europa league still and the champs league place goes to the epl team who finished 5th \o/.......lol one can dream....

This is an utter farce if they dont make a decision before the first game. Its fraud really to advertise the game as a qualifier to the Fenerbache fans when even if they win they could go out.

Thinking about this further and surely the rules state that they need to play and win a qualifier.
If Fenebache are kicked out then why not the next team in line? (Maybe the next highest placed team from the league With the highest coefficient).
Whatever the outcome of the appeal is,there must be a decision BEFORE either tie is played,surely?

according to ssn UEFA will take the pussy approach - hope arsenal progress so they don't have to make a decision.......im sure the ref will be good for those games.....
yet if arsenal lose and then get to play in the group stage anyway it is a complete farce!!!!
