The Cricket Thread

Of all the things to change in the hundred the first for me would be the graphics, terrible

Edit: Add Chris Hughes to that....terrible

2nd Edit: The delay on picture from mics so you hear anything before you see it

3rd Edit: Mo Ali on Comms, actually really funny for someone that comes over so straight, seems a top bloke.

In all seriousness easy to forget it was his last game yesterday for England, had a pretty decent career all told, actually really decent

Strong Essex contingent in the London Spirit side, especially if you count Ravi.

Yeh old Rossington did well, not sure what Spurs fans would make of him considering the Ndombele feelings haha

The production value of this is so poor again, the camera not even tracking loads of the shots early on

Although after being a real downer on it, I am warming to the efforts of the 100 for the game in terms of getting womens game moving and kids to the sport. I went to Essex the other week and it was pretty dead in the 4 dayer and they are one of the more visited sides. Can't live in the past I suppose even if the schedule is fooked because of it

I don't mind the competition so much, but the presentation is a right load of brick. Especially...

I get he has an appeal to a certain market and on the ITV racing he shows a general level of knowledge of horse racing but he keeps pausing and showing high levels of awkwardness at the cricket.

Not surprised the tossy 100 has taken most of our best players

The authorities think it is the answer to attract a wider audience and in some cases they are right, my youngest grandson watches the 100 yet shows no interest in the conventional game, which is really disappointing as his dad, cousin and myself all played locally and were members at Middlesex. England proved that played in the right way 1st class cricket can get bums on seats, viewing figures were high despite losing the first two test.

Yeh I was against it but its clearly attracting kids and the womens game is progressing well because of it. I love the 4 day game but its stuck in the dark ages, the old crowd are unwelcoming and they don't want any changes that help attract a crowd, they seem to be willing to go down with the ship. If i had my way I would have reinvented the T20 and chucked loads of PR at it, and given teams money but on the basis they invested a % in womens a youth cricket. I would have definitely have stolen the idea of women and men on the same day and had the T20 blast in the school holidays.

County cricket have had their life blood cut off by central contacts and T20 taking the box office players away from it. It use to be wonderful to watch great test players from Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies playing in the county games regularly.

It did and I don't like how it's gone as much as anyone.

Would be better served getting his knee sorted so he can actually bowl again and help the balance of the test side.

Yeh and look I love the bloke, he is a superstar and any team is better for him in, but I am not a fan of this whole retiring, players working hard to fill that role only for it to be kyboshed. Its unfair
