The Centre Forward thread

If we managed to get 50-60m from Saudi for Richy and plumped 40-45m on Toney then I think that would be alright. He's a berk but think he would do wonders in our system, good hold up play and can score when he's on his game.

Think we may go for someone a bit younger and potentially more ££££ though if we get that sort of money for Richy.
 
Get the best striker in the way we've been playing I doubt we can improve much.

Our problems lie further back midfield where we can't control space and tempo effectively.

Maybe, been linked since before the Jan window and hasn't once come out and said he wouldn't go, unlike Son who squashed it right away.

His hero is Neymar, has a tattoo of him on his back I think, could donate plenty of money to charities in Brazil... I wouldn't rule it out.

I just don't think he'd go to anywhere so authoritarian and with such horrendous human rights issues. I think his morality is a lot better than that.

We create a lot of chances, having one more player in squad that can be clinical makes a difference

Midfield balance still needs to be sorted to improve overall team

Richie is not stupid enough to go Saudi Arabia and end his international career, no chance

Agreed.

Was said on the extra inch podcast I think how this was his first season playing as a striker for a good team playing good football. Had quite a bit of the season hampered by injuries and mental health issues. Start of the season he was carrying a knock. Still showed what he's capable of when fit and on form.

Think there's at least a decent chance he does really well next season.
