The Academy, NextGen, U18 & U21 Premier League and On-Loan Thread

He did not feature in the last game and I hope he was fully fit starting this game. Any word on this injury?

Ankle injury I've read. One Norwich thinks maybe achilles, but he's just guessing.

Kane had a shocker tonight, didn't look like he could hit a barn door and was put through one on one like he was against West Ham and what was the finish like? Just like the one at West Ham, weak and on the ground. Obvisouly I feel sorry for the lad and the army of ambulance staff who carried everything but the kitchen sink onto the pitch, I just had a feeling he was going to become one of our many short lived strikers, e.g Goran Maric, Omar Koroma and David Strihavka. I'm praying Vaughan has a recall clause because Kane and Chris Martin couldn't cut it against a league one defence.

5th metatarsal so hopefully only a few weeks.

In better news Jermaine Jenas has joined Forest on loan for a month.

for anyone interested Joshua Onomah, Luke Amos and Christian Maghoma(yes, brother of jaques) are involved for England U16s tonight against Northern Ireland.

I spoke to a Norwich fan the other day who said he thought Kane was a bit of a poor man's Paul McVeigh.

That's not as bad as it sounds, as McVeigh played over 200 times for them and was well thought of.

I personally don't think Kane has a chance of being a premiere league player. I really think he is pretty terrible in all honesty. He's you g and could develop but I can't see what. Raw ability headstone develop. Championship standard.

Think you would have said the same thing about Teddy Sheringham when he was young. Similar style and player - tall but gangly, not particularly quick, gets in the right place at the right time to get goals, decent touch,....not saying Kane will have the same success but could see him becoming a similar style player ie a second striker who drops off and brings another CF into the game
