apparently AVB has been free to join any club he wants. He left Chelsea with the agreement that Chelsea continue to pay his wage until he joins a new club, whether that be in a month or in 3 years. Once he signs up to a new club, he stops receiving money from Chelsea.

He has been but there was apparently a clause in his contract that after 1 year (30th June 2012) he was entitled to a bonus in the form of a percentage of club winnings for the 2011-12 season, had he left earlier that bonus wouldn't be payable.

We'll get the announcement / PC when Levys back from the States I'd assume.

And that Vertonghen picture tinkles me off, just sign the fudging git!

That photo of AVB in london was right; Sky had camera of him wearing same clothes and sun glasses at WHL.

who knows, maybe there was some truth in this last week........in fact, Spurs are nowhere near appointing a new manager

Former Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas has categorically denied that he held talks with Premier League side Tottenham over the vacant managerial position at White Hart Lane.

The Portuguese has been out of a job since March after his sacking from the Blues, and with Spurs parting ways with Harry Redknapp earlier in June, reports suggested that chairman Daniel Levy had considered the 34-year-old to take over.

Nevertheless, Villas-Boas has dismissed any links with the club, telling Portuguese newspaper O Jogo that he has heard nothing from the Spurs hierarchy.

"There is nothing, it is all lies," Villas-Boas was quoted as saying by the paper.

so why is this sky reporter outside WHL saying that there are negotiations between Spurs and AVB today? there has been no denial since the above so surely everything points to us appointing AVB?
