A feature of Anges setup when playing from the back that i dislike is requiring players to run back to receive the ball. It's so easy to get caught or play a poor pass sideways. It's also very inefficient- might as well start with more players lower....and endeavour to pass in front of the player already facing forward.

Yeah, I'm no expert on this system but when the LB is forced to drill it down the line into Son who has to run back to retrieve it then it always ends up with either Son losing it or getting there first and trying to draw a foul. We are rarely able to play our way out down the wings

Lets hope that is the reason we looked so poor in the first half second half we did better, from what we hear he has been working them hard and maybe with the heat its the main reason we look so off the pace.

We delay passes a lot for some reason, last year it was painful watching Werner/Son/Johnson make runs behind and the ball just being cut back
